Our Tutors: Alex D.
My name is Alex D. and I am a certified Math and Physics Tutor from Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – formerly referred to as ADD/ADHD – is a condition of the brain that results in excessive activity and difficulty focusing attention. ADHD often makes it difficult for children to control their behavior in school and social settings.
SchoolTutoring Academy has trained educators on staff that are able to identify the specific academic skills your child is struggling with and create a tailored learning program that works. Our programs have successfully helped students become more successful in school and, more importantly, confident in their own abilities.
How ADHD Tutoring Sessions WorkTypically, ADHD-aligned tutoring sessions are segmented into 10-15 minute blocks where a student focuses on a specific academic skill during that time. This allows tutoring sessions to be more varied to ensure students remain engaged in the learning. Since tutoring sessions are all 1-to-1, teachers are able to ignore behaviors that don’t impact the child’s learning. For students who are inattentive, our educators offer specific and gentle redirects and also design tasks to help engage the student’s interest. |
